Description

The Studio Management intern will assist with running and managing our educational programs and open studio time, helping to expand our capacity to serve the community.  The main focus of the internship will place the intern in the role of Studio Manager. They will learn how to use our studio's equipment, including our Risograph and printing press, and will assist community members in using the equipment during open studio hours. The intern will also help with our educational programming, assisting with instruction during our classes and workshops, coordinating volunteer tasks, and communicating with guest instructors. Over the course of the internship, the intern is encouraged to develop and teach a workshop or workshop series.  This is a part time paid internship (15-20 hrs/wk) that will run through July-December of 2025, dependent on the intern’s availability. It is open to undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County.
 

Qualifications

Major or minor in studio art, arts education, museum studies, art history, or other creative or education related field  An interest in arts education and printmaking Experience with Risograph printing preferred  Familiarity with Adobe software preferred Must be able to problem-solve independently and collaborate with others  REQUIREMENTS:    Professional demeanor   Punctuality   Excellent verbal and written communications skills   Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail   Reliable form of transportation is required  Intern will provide their own devices (eg. phone, laptop, tablet, etc.)
